Code 4 Driving School

The receptionist is rude and has an attitude almost every time I call. The quality of lessons was not good either, the instructor yelled at me multiple times during the first lesson and redundantly went over the same things for 2 lessons. Don't waste your time and money here, there are much better local driving schools.

I Appreciate Code 4 driving school.! The retired officer really taught my daughter a lot and I'm glad it was him because I had a hard time feeling comfortable with her driving me lol but then I got vertigo and I had to trust her to take me to my appointments and to take us/her sisters to school! I'm Soooo Proud.!

My wife is from the Philippines and new to driving. I decided it be best to sign her up for lessons after teaching her the bare bones basics. ( For both of our sake.) Or so I thought. I called, and Carla told me they were booked out a few months. I name dropped another client/friend of theirs, and magically a slot opened up. Cool!. As pleasant as the Instructor was, (the owner himself) he wasn't a good teacher.

They literally NEVER drove around the DMV at all, and really, it was like my wife was just joy riding with a friend for her lessons. Instructor even had his homie with him while "instructing" and ate lunch during one of the lessons. He said she was ready, but she failed. I called them back to see if we could purchase a few more lessons with another instructor possibly, but never got a call back. I'm a better teacher. Guess the saying is true. If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Fabulous experience! The price was a little better than the other schools and the man who answers the phone was pleasant and knowledgeable. I loved that they came to our house to pick my son up. Stuart was my son's instructor and he did not disappoint. He was positive, uplifting and patient. My son had fun and even asked if we could request him again. Way to go, Stuart!

We prepaid for all the services my son might need to prepare for his license. Driver's education (online only due to Covid), 6 six 2-hour behind the wheel lessons, and the use of the company's vehicle for his driving test. The website isn't very user friendly but we managed. The driver's education was really thorough and my son passed his written exam on his first try. It's a go at your own pace lesson plan so he was able to review anything he felt he needed work on.

After the first day, his login stopped working but a quick email to the company and it was fixed in no time. I called to schedule my son's behind the wheel lessons and the first available date was 3 to 4 months from now, depending on if we were willing to pull him out of school for them. We ended up calling around and getting in with another company the next day so I emailed about a refund on the unused lessons.

I never actually heard back from them but received a refund within a week of sending the email. The only things I feel could use improvement are making the website easier to navigate, either hiring more instructors or taking on less clients so wait time isn't months out, and better communication between the company and customers. Aside from those small adjustments, I really appreciate how quickly and easily the process moved for my son to get his permit.

Attempted to book my teenager for her sessions. Unfortunately, after paying online I was told the first session was not available until Sept 2021. I was also informed that my teenager would have miss class to participate in the driving session. It's not okay to miss school when it can get done in the summer. Disappointing to say the least. I am currently waiting a refund.

Honest people. I needed to cancel my class, full refund fast with no questions. I'll be back for sure. I have more drivers in the popeline

We used Code 4 driving school and were very happy with the service. My daughter had different instructors each time and they provided great instruction and suggestions to improve. She was going through lessons during the pandemic and when the DMV had to shut down for a period of time. When my daughter's dmv test was rescheduled we were able to get her in for that last minute lesson so that she would have all of the requirements completed. She passed her test the first time.

Code 4 is awesome! I would highly recommend them! They were always very prompt in returning phone calls and scheduling appts, even during COVID when DMV opened back up and we had to get a last minute final driving appt. My son had three different instructors and loved them all. Very kind and personable. Took his DL test today and passed with flying colors!

My daughter had her last lesson today. For the most part we were happy with services provided. However you have to request your driver wear a mask if that's your wish. In the middle of a pandemic with case numbers going up rapidly and masks being required in our county, I found it surprising that the instructor even walked up to my door not wearing a mask. It's a small car, come on, common sense says wear a mask without having to be asked.

As nice as these people are it's just joyriding and though actually getting out and driving helps alot it's not much more than driving with a parent or friend. I paid for a loved on to do the adult 4session class and I felt like she learned nothing every time. not only that but definitely didn't pass on the first try. I definitely felt it was a waste of $340. we'll have to do it on our own

My daughter had her final lesson today with Wesley. She can't stop talking about how friendly and comfortable he made her feel as she was very nervous to go. He told her what she did wrong, so to work on it along with answers several questions she had prior to leaving. Thank you Wesley for helping her and making her 2 hours enjoyable.

Karla has been amazing! Great instructors, positive attitudes, great results! Don't go anywhere else for your kids, they are worth the wait!

I never leave a review but I feel like I need to on this My husband and I called them for over two weeks by phone left messages because we needed them to send us the original paperwork for our son after he passed his driving course. They never responded then I emailed them. They said they would put it in the mail it never came I had to email them two more times and they said again it was in the mail. It was never in the mail. I finally got it after a month or so and they had to come drop it off. Horrible customer service

I feel like $300 just went down the drain. Written permit help was all online, dmv offers all this online free. My daughter got one in vehicle lesson. Went to schedule the second one after several months and they tell her they are booked till mid July! 2 months waiting, while the permit is only good for 12months. Maybe they shouldnt keep exceping clients if they are unable to follow thru on timely instruction.

Had an AMAZING experience with Code 4. They helped all the way from getting my permit to getting my drivers license. I had Mathew Rice and Shelly as my teachers and they were AMAZING! They are very friendly and made me feel very comfortable while in the car with them. If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't have my license. I thought it was a good use of my time and money to choose Code 4. I am definitely going to recommend it to others. Shelly helped me pass my drivers test with ZERO errors! I would have given five stars if they returned messages in timely manners. Alisha (not sure of the spelling) the instructor was very nice and patient with our son. I would definitely recommend her.

We used this Code 4 for our two kids. It was a great experience. Both of our kids had Joe as an instructor. They both liked him. The pricing was good and best of all the both passed their driving tests on the first try. I highly recommend this driving school.

After getting my learner's permit at 16, failing my first driving test, and then getting two more permits, I decided it was probably time to take my lessons over again. I never felt like I was being screamed at, and whenever I made a mistake, I felt that they were helping me fix it rather than screaming at me for making it at all. After taking four lessons, I took my driving test with their car for the second time (except about 2 years after the first test), and I finally got my license! Thank you Code 4!

Mary is the best driving instructor ever! I did the adults 4 session driving and could not be happier with the decision. The best part is that on my last session Mary took me to the DMV to take the behind the wheel test and I got my license on my first try! I'm someone who gets really nervous easily and she was able to calm me down in stressful situations.

I honestly wouldn't been able to do this without Mary's help. I'm so thankful to have found this driving school and very blessed to have Mary as my instuctor, I owe it all to her!

For a very long time, I suffered severe driving anxiety. Couldn't get behind the wheel without freaking out. Things didn't work out with quite a few other driving schools. Stuart changed all of this for me very quickly. He seemed genuinely calm and used light humor to calm my nerves. He was patient. Answered all the questions I had. Six lessons and 30+ hours of driving practice and I got my license. Code 4 builds your confidence as a first time driver while enforcing all road rules. Easy to make appointments. Highly recommend!

The best! After a fiasco with another local driving school, I called Code 4 and it's been perfect. Stuart, my daughters instructor is kind and knowledgeable. My daughter only wants him when I call to make her appointments, we've only had him. Carla has been a lifesaver too, when I call with questions or problems with DMV, she's offered suggestions and helped me so much.

Call them! It's so hard letting your child go with a random person to drive but with Stuart & Carla all fears have faded and i feel confident my daughter will pass her driving test!

I purchased the three driving sessions, two hours each time. My son felt as though they really prepared him for all kinds of driving situation. The instructors seemed very competent. The last session was driving in downtown Modesto and going over the items he would be required to perform on the Behind the wheel test. She also had booked the drivers test for us and my son was able to go straight from his last tutorial session to his DMV test. He was able to use Code 4's vehicle and she drove him home from the test. He passed!

I purchased my twin boys the online course and the behind the wheel driving course. Code 4 is an excellent school for your beginning driver. Both kids passed their DMV driving test on their first try. Thank you Code 4!

I went with the 2 hour instruction for my son to teach him the more difficult things that are required for the license test(parallel parking, 3 point turns, etc). He knows how to get in the car and drive but isn't the greatest and would not have passed a driving test at that point. I figured it would be easier and less stressful for him to learn from a third party and they'd give him some useful critique and tips.

The lady didn't go over ANY required material or techniques and told him that he's ready for the test and basically took him on a 2 hour joyride. So $90 for something I've been doing with him already.

Code 4 driving is a really great school to learn to drive, I got the 4 sessions and the DMV test with the last session. It was really great, they were able to pick me up from my home and take me driving, I passed my driving test my first time. Really great driving instructors as well, highly recommend this.

Can't say enough about this place. Excellent customer service. Pretty much all I did was pay their reasonable rates and they take care of everything. If u do the last driving session on the day they take driving test they take them straight to DMV and they can use their car. They even make the DMV appointment and all. It's just too easy! Great value, professional. Pretty much a turnkey operation. I paid them one time and they did the rest: three driving lessons and took my daughter to the final DMV driving test. Code 4 picks the driver-in-training up at your house so as a parent, you don't have to shuttle your new driver to-and-from the lessons. Code 4 was accommodating to our schedules as well. The best thing, my daughter passed her driving test and got her license.

I'd barely driven for an entire year of having my permit, and with it expiring soon I needed to get my license ASAP. I called code 4 and my instructor Shelley was calm, reasonable, and actually cared if I passed the license test or not. Not only that, but Code 4 was also the lowest priced driving school that I called. If you want a driving instructor who actually wants you to succeed for a reasonable price, call Code 4 driving.

I love this driving school. My son just did his drivers test after his last two hour lesson yesterday morning. Both my kids have use them they are great! I think the best thing about them is that they are available to answer questions on the weekend. For working moms like me that's super important. Both boys passed on their first try. Their confidence that came from using the school is amazing.

I called love's driving school to schedule an appointment and they were rude; therefore, I canceled. I called code 4 driving and Carla the recipient was really nice and schedule a lesson for me right away with Jessica my driver instructor which was great. I passed my driving test on the first try, so if you need driving lessons this is a great place to go for

I'm so impressed with this company. Very organized and prompt. Michelle helped my daughter feel relaxed and taught her alot in the first lesson.

Excellent instruction by very knowledgeable and friendly mentors for a very fair price. I've always been intimidated by driving--having had more than one bad experience--and struggled with even being in the driver's seat. Stuart, my driving instructor, was as understanding a teacher as one could hope for. He was very patient and broke down the learning process so that you can isolate your weak points and work to improve on them. Helped tremendously for my driving exam, which he accompanied me too and more than prepared me for. I'm shocked to see how comfortable I'd gotten behind the wheel after only six hours of practice. Very pleased with the experience.
