The drivers education classes in Overland Park KS are taught in two important parts. First, students attend an 8 hour classroom session designed to engage and teach not only basic rules of the road but also introduce advanced driving techniques. The class is offered every other Saturday and is approved by the State of Kansas as a Drivers Education Program.Second, students participate in 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training which is typically completed in 3-2hr sessions designed to put defensive minded drivers on our roadways. We drive newer model Mazda 3 Sportbacks offering superior lines of sight for newer drivers, but still offering a fun driving experience for your teen. Our three behind-the-wheel lessons focus on city/residential driving, highway driving, and parking/personal safety but also allows for us to cater to meet the needs of the individual learner.
Upon successful completion of the Education Program a student will earn a Completion Certificate which combined with meeting all State Mandated Requirements for Drivers Education may receive their Restricted or Full License.

When I first stated driving I was so nervous but after meeting my instructor(Justin Weir) it felt like a elephant was lifted off my shoulder. He was the nicest and coolest person ever and helped me learn a lot about driving and road service. I recommend this course for all new driver. I will always be thankful for Justin Weir and his colleagues. Wish them all the best in future endeavors

After paying them $400. Cash we had to call multiple times to get them to schedule driving times. After three months of this weekly calling he finally went on second drive along. Was told he would do last drive and sign off in two weeks. That was over 5 months ago. I've left messages and tried calling repeatedly with no response. Instructor was rude and I would not send my worst enemy to this place to teach a young adult how to drive.
I must say your pretty quick to point out and add fist time drivers mistakes. I was never told turned into traffic probably would have worked on that if truly happened. What's your excuse for not responding to my numerous calls to finish or for paschal refund for not holding to your contract of three driving lessons! Also I will point out he is currently top class and driving student in his schools drivers Ed. Driving up two hrs no issues, maybe it's having someone who sees what kids need not just taking peoples money!!!

We are very very pleased with FDS! The owner was more than helpful and had to adapt his classes to be COVID compliant. My daughter said the staff was really kind and Rob went over and above when there was a rush to get the certificate due to scheduling with the DMV. My 14 YO felt very comfortable and safe being with a group of people she's never met. I highly recommend FDS!

I sent both my 16 year old daughter and my 15 year old son to Freedom. It was easy to schedule. I dropped them off in the morning and picked them up in the afternoon after a day-long of learning. They had already taken and passed the written portion of the test. The driving tests were scheduled with Clayton Allen. He was accommodating and easy to schedule with. My daughter has been successfully driving and my son is finishing up. They are prepared and gained a lot of confidence. I would (and have) recommended Freedom to my friends!

Two of my son's went to Freedom Driving School. It put my mind at ease and I knew they would rather have an instructor train them instead of me or their dad! Last week we showed up at the DMV to pick up our son's restrictive license. After getting to the counter, we realized we didn't have the second sheet from the school. We called up Freedom and the owner HAND DELIVERED it to our home the next day. We have not had service like that in a long time. Thanks so much. It made my family's day!!

Please note!.Freedom Driving School disputed the refund and I was never credited any amount! Very unprofessional not to call us back, when all we wanted was to finish the class and be able receive a discount on our insurance. Now we are out $415 and no insurance discount. Also I'm amazed there was no comment made on feedback about the instructor being on his phone multiple times while "instructing" my daughter!
Very dangerous, as it only takes a split second to make a mistake! I highly do not recommend this company. They did not meet our needs after kindly asking for someone else to ride along with my daughter, as she did not want to ride with a stranger in a car around the city. When she was picked up, as a friendly gesture, Rob let her run into QT with a tap on the shoulder to go buy a snack.
He repeatedly checked his phone as she was driving. These are few of the things I wanted to let slide, but not receiving any return calls and paying over $400 without finishing the last 2 sessions of the course, I feel people need to know about this. My daughter received more knowledge driving with me and my attention completely focused on her and not a phone. Please do not waste your money.
