The owner, Georgena Ewing (Ms. Georgie) has been involved in Drivers Education since the 80's when certified by the National Safety Council and still does classes for them. A certified Md. State MVA instructor, she is concerned about today's driving and your child's safety. Her orientations are a real eye opener. "We just take driving for granted and don't understand the physics of driving an automobile. " She wants her student's to get it and "DRIVE SMART" Her background in comedy does present a twist to a very serious subject. She tells it like it is. This is a dream come true for her and she is motivated to continue the reputation Perry Hall Driving School has had for over 30 years.

Behind the Wheel

There are 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. In-car skills that we hope to cover are the basic maneuvers in a safe environment, sharing the road with other types of vehicles, basic maneuvers in more challenging environments, speed control, space management, lane changing, expressway driving, city/country driving, parking techniques, and test preparation.
To pass the 6 hours of behind the wheel driver education a student needs to complete all six hours and pass the performance criteria for each lesson. We offer these lessons in 4 - (90) minute sessions. The student will drive one-on-one with our highly qualified driving instructors.

These are lessons that are designed for students who have individual needs. This may be as simple as practicing parallel parking and the basic maneuvers before the MVA test. Again, it could be as complex as regaining confidence and redeveloping skills after years of not driving. Regardless, Perry Hall Driving School has been helping the nervous or anxious driver for over thirty years.
The cost of these lessons per hour is $60.00 with a minimal lesson of two hours. If a person would wish these lessons, all they need to do is call the office to set up an appointment and the lesson is paid to the driver the day of the lesson. Cash or money order makes payment for these private lessons.
