Truck driving careers are categorized in two different categories. The first one is an Owner-Operator, it is when you have your own truck leased by a certain distribution company and the driver, drives it on your own according to a contract put in place by the distribution company. The second category is being a Company Driver. Company drivers are employees of a particular companies that drive trucks issued by their employer.

Truck driving jobs are in demand in many distribution companies and these companies do not fail to provide great paying jobs. In fact, truck driving jobs are listed in the top 20 occupations having the biggest and largest job growth between the years 2006 and 2016. Because of some uncontrollable circumstances like accidents or retirement, companies that require truck drivers never close their doors to new drivers.
