Class A/B Truck Driver
Report
This program provides Class "A/B" CDL License training utilizing a tractor-trailer at one of our assigned training locations. Course length is 5 weeks. This training is hands on training with a conventional 2-axle tractor, both 28 and 53 foot trailers combination vehicle with a GCWR of 26,001 lbs. or more and a commercial passenger vehicle. All commercial endorsement training are included in this course as well as; Hazmat TSA fingerprinting fee and identification credentials to access Maritime Transportation Security Administration regulated facilities (TWIC card). Graduates will receive an official certificate of completion upon successful completion of course.
Class B Refresher
Report
This course provides the student with advanced training, legal provisions and safety precautions associated with the trucking industry. The Class B Refresher Training Program's main focus is Class "B" CDL License hands-on driving at one of our assigned training locations. Course length is 1 week. This training is hands on utilizing a Bobtail commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more. Graduates will receive an official certificate of completion upon successful completion of course.

This office isn't a driving school. It's just an office that takes your money and drives you up to LA and dumps you there. If you miss the morning bus then you have to drive up to LA. You must show up at 6:30 AM and return at 3:00 PM. Depending on the number of students in LA, you could be taught for 20-30 minutes while you are in class all day. There are many other schools that will teach you to drive, so don't waste your time and money on this one.
Many other schools will also offer jobs for you. If you attend this school, you will very very have a hard time getting your approximately $6,500 back because they have many offices in different places to keep you running around.

Would recommend to anyone who has the desire and is willing to put in the work to get your class A. Instructor Alex is a very good Instructor he would work with me one on one until I understood what it was that I was doing wrong. Byron knows all there is to know about the trucking industry and DMV and he shares that knowledge so there are no surprises.
Instructor James is very knowledgeable in the pre trip and air breaks. They all make a good team and helped me learn all I needed to pass my Class A DMV tests on my first try.

I was part of a small class which was great because I got a lot of hands on training and a lot of the instructors focus was on me. Byron and James are very knowledgeable and great instructors. I passed my class a, class b both on the first time. They teach everything you need to know to get you your license. I had a great experience here at the academy from the classroom to the yard. Byron knows everything there is to the trucking industry, any questions you have will be answered. Great school over all. I will for sure recommend to friends and family interested in the trucking industry.

Just got my Commercial Drivers License on Aug 15th 2018. Best choice I ever made in coming to this academy. Great director, awesome instructors and great equipment. I got the classroom instruction and yard time needed in order to successfully pass my test at the DMV. I highly recommend this Academy to anyone thinking of truck driving as a new career choice.

Excellent school; far better than any other in SoCal. Literally had students in my class from other schools and wouldn't have accepted any substitutes. Accelerated program, 4-6 weeks so be ready to learn, drive and have fun while doing it! Very clean, professional and always friendly, Byron Allen and his staff strive for the best out of the students and themselves, even the receptionists are top notch.
Equipment was newer, classroom and training lot was maintained, and it's easily to get to being by the major freeways in Santa Ana. Don't make a mistake and go elsewhere. Safe drives! #CTDA

This is a great program! The class sizes are kept small to Maximize student time in the trucks. They teach you everything you need to know to pass the California commercial driving tests. Listen to the instructors. Study. Pass. They make it that simple. I graduated recently and loved the experience.

I highly recommend everyone who wants to obtain their commercial driver's license to attend the training at California Truck Driving Academy. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and are very hands on from the Director of the Academy, the Instructors and the office personnel with each and every student in mind to make sure they have correct training to become a professional driver with all the confidence because of the best training available.
