Alert Driving School

It was a pleasure working with the whole team. I first met Manny over the phone who communicated several times to make sure our schedule worked. My son had the opportunity to practice with all of the drivers. April is absolutely phenomenal. She is patient, kind, nurturing and honest. She helped to boost my son's confidence and with that his driving improved. She showed him all the techniques he needed to pass his driving test. My son also feels comfortable driving on the road. We also loved the fact that they are always on time. If you are scheduled for 2 hours of driving, she allows him to drive the total number of hours. If I were to give them a score for overall performance, it would be a 10/10. Thank you for working with my son.

She was intentional about the route they drove to help with driving after the school. We also loved the fact that they are always on time. I was learning to drive with my parents, but with help with Alert driving school I became a confident driver.

First of all, I want to thank Manny from Alert Driving School for helping me to get my license. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have passed the road test. He is a kind person who took me step by step and didn't pressure me when I made a mistake. If I made a mistake, he would ask me to pull over and explain what the mistake was and go through with me how I could improve on it. Manny showed me all the right ways on how to drive safely and made me feel comfortable in areas where I would feel uncomfortable. He raised my confidence in driving and taught me what to do and what not to do. I am thankful for what he has taught me, and I will refer him to friends and family.

Manny was always calm and serious without being intimidating. I felt the need for more practice. My input was encouraged, and upon any errors, he questioned where I thought I had gone wrong rather than instantly telling me. I would recommend him to anyone.

Great school and great teachers. They will make sure you pass your test

The instructor was mean and from every little mistake I made he would curse, he was yelling and none professional. I wouldn't recommend it.

It was fast on the day for my driving test only took like 20 minutes, the guy I forgot his name was very nice (trust me)

Overall my kid learned a lot from the classes and drives. But very poor phone answering skills at the north side. Scheduled a driving test three weeks in advance and the Thursday before the scheduled test, which was the following Tuesday I received an email that the appointment was cancelled. Never received a phone call. Finally rescheduled but had to drive across town to accommodate the appointment needs.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value I was at the n.store they were so rude and I asked for a suprises and was told I wouldn't get the number that I had to dill with it but because I had already payed150 or eals I would of said some rud as words because she was nasty rude noo people skills

Passed first try thanks to Alert driving school, Manny, and the rest of the crew! Would recommend to every person taking the NJ Driver's test. Nothing but professionalism, patience, and quality instruction from these guys. Thanks again!

We bought this course weeks ago, not realizing our grandson's driving classes would not be given during his school fall break when he was available and not in school. He was told to sign up this morning for driving practice but there are no classes still available except during his school hours which require him to miss 3 hours of school on 3 different days.

Since there are no classes left during non-school hours, he will have to wait until November to get in the next set, with no guarantee that he will get a class during non-school hours plus he might have to be driving during bad weather. I am very unhappy that this schedule is so inconvenient. We did not pay $520 just so this school could screw up our grandson's school schedule.

Says online that they get a permit test at the school. I paid a LOT of money that we didn't have to get my son into a class over 60 days ago, and they didn't offer the permit test. I didn't want to forfeit the money I paid for driving time, but DPS is scheduling 60 days out for permit test appointments. I have called numerous times and left voicemails asking about scheduling a permit test or rescheduling the driving time, and they have never returned my calls.

I don't have the time to drive across town, nor did I feel like it was a safe place to express my frustrations in person. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values good communication and professionalism. *Replies to negative Google reviews but won't answer the phone or return voicemails. I guess we can finish this conversation here. I asked specifically if they did permit tests when I was there.

They said no. I said "it says on the website.", and the front office said they don't. I accepted this answer because the class was cheap and well-rated. I then asked about getting a permit before or after driving, and they said he needed a permit before drive time and to use DPS. Getting a permit was never discussed with my son in class. There is OBVIOUSLY a problem with communication.

Can't say enough good things about Manny and this school. Goes above and beyond working with you and your schedule. Also helped us resolve an issue with the DMV and resloved it right away by actually meeting with us there on his own time to get it taken care of with us that morning. Outstanding!

The instructor is a great guy! He is great with the kids. Great teacher. It was nice to hear him tell what they did wrong and how to fix it later. Very down to earth guy. I would highly recommend this school.

Manny the best driving teacher ever. He really helped me get my license. I highly recommend this school.

The guy himself trains very well. He helped me with my six hours and had patience. He took his time and well explained how to do proper driving movements. Great experience!

My son just got his license thanks to the really great instruction and tips he got from the lessons. If you need lessons you can't go wrong here. Super friendly, professional and experienced. I'll be calling them back in a year when the next one is ready to drive.

My six hours in class were great and it helped me learned a lot about driving. The instructor, Manny, was very serious and determined to help the student, while at the same time also being a very nice and calm guy to talk to. Definitely recommend for any beginner.

I had very little idea of how to drive, starting lessons with Manny I became more and more professional, driving smoothly and with confidence. He is an excellent instructor, make it easy and interesting for me. The car is comfortable. Manny helped me in all what I need, including preparing to the road test, drive to my work place, even he told me from where I can buy a car. Also he is honest, I paid for lessons long time ago before corona, and I was late in my knowledge test, after that he gave me all my time completely. Thanks Manny so much!

Went there to take the class to keep my insurance benefit. Found the instructors very informative about things. My only gripe is 7:30 is way too early to start a class I'm more the 9:00 9:30 ish kind of person but other than that at least now I won't have to take it again for a while.

Manny was great at what he did. His method was easy to follow and effective at teaching and his temperament was perfect to display the importance of driving safely without being scary at all. It was a great experience and he is the entire reason I got my license (his parallel parking instructions are perfect). Thank you Manny!

We just finished our second job for Alert Driving School. Enjoyed working with everyone in the business. I have recommended Alert Driving School to several fathers for their high school kids.
