Report
A career in long-haul trucking requires a CDL, and the programs at our school provide the best CDL training. This kind of career may not be for everyone, but if you have decided that the opportunity to travel and contribute to the growth of the U.S. economy by transporting important items cross-country is the right career for you, we can help you achieve it.

This is not a school it's a program! The instructors are not teachers! If you have test anxiety like I did they will cut you loose and take your money! Offering you no help of any kind. And now my permit is expired. I've been trying to get them to communicate with me about finishing my last week required for my schooling but they don't care about getting back to me. I feel cheated out of the money they took from me! Know what you are going to spend your money on!

I have had the unique experience of working with WPTS twice. Once in 2013 when I originally completed the training as a student and a second time in 2021 (for recertification) after I was under lockdown in a foreign country during Covid and my Class A CDL lapsed/expired. I only have good things to say about this school and the staff that runs it. They are experienced, knowledgeable and professional while honestly having the student's best interests at heart.
They wouldn't guide a student to a company that they themselves wouldn't drive for, nor would they push a student into a contract that they themselves wouldn't sign. Ed and his team operate with integrity. and if that is something that's important to you, then WPTS is a great place to start your career. Even years later after I had already graduated, Ed went above and beyond to help me get my license back by working me into their busy schedule and allowing me road and yard practice time, so I could be more successful on my recertification test. Ed knew what needed to be done to get my license back and he did everything that he said he was going to do from the very first phone call, including scheduling the test with an examiner and coming to school on a Saturday at 4:45am so we could take a truck (with just me and him) down to Albany for testing.
I'm honestly touched by the efforts that he put into my unique situation. and I will never forget what he did to help me get back to work. In conclusion, I can tell you from my personal experience that if you had your choice of trucking schools, WPTS is a great choice! WPTS gets 5 stars from this driver!

I went to this school back in 1996 when they still had cabover tractors and a few conventional ones. I'm glad to say I am still driving truck. The training I received was top notch and the instructors were patient and knowledgeable. Happy to see this school still training future professional drivers.

I wish I got my class A much sooner I went to this school 3 years ago now I make 1200.00 to 1500.00 a week working for JB Hunt. When I applied for this job it had been 2 years since I drove a 10 speed but because this school teaches you to shift in a real truck I was able to pass the road test. Edit: now I work for The KAG hauling fuel 120k a year this is awesome.

I was in the class that graduated May 9th, 2019. I had Errol(WA pre trip and backing) and Harold as my WA road driving instructor. At the beginning me and my 2 fellow classmates basically knew next to nothing. The instructors both told us by the end we'd be more than prepared for our tests. By the end of the class we had the material down like we were rehearsing a nursery rhyme.
All 3 of us passed with flying colors. Errol and Harold no doubt are some of the best instructors you can get. I highly recommend this school for Washington drivers looking to get their CDL. I guarantee you'll be more than ready.

Western Pacific Truck School of Oregon was nothing short of an amazing opportunity that was both a privilege and an honor to attend. I was enrolled in their Advanced Tractor/Trailer Operator Program. The instructors are patient, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The time you'll spend there is ensuring that you fully understand and are capable of demonstrating the skills you learn.
All the instructors at this school come from different walks of life, and are only eager to share that experience with you. I encourage ANYONE who is even REMOTELY interested in a career in trucking and heavy transportation to start that journey here. You will NOT be disappointed. Signed, a freshly earned, CDL-A holding, graduate of Western Pacific Truck School of Oregon!

I am a current student at the school. I feel that every instructor has a great point of view. I have learned a ton about driving an 18 wheeler. When I began to research schools to go to Eifel that this was my best option. I drive 114 miles round-trip to come to the school and feel that it is completely worth it! If you are looking for a school that teaches you how to drive safely and effectively this is the school for you!
All of the instructors are amazing fun have a great sense of humor and really take the time to teach us properly! Thank you Western Pacific truck school for teaching me the best way to be safe!

I was able to complete the school and received very high scores on all my tests just by following direction of my instructors. Every day I was allowed to train in the truck, on the yard, and with backing. Instructors were cycled and I received instruction from all of them. Thank you, Ed, Eddie, Doug, Mack, and any others I worked with. We even missed days because of awful weather and these guys came in on their days off to help us out. Thanks again!
