Currently enrolled into a program here at the academy, first and foremost the staff here is top notch, very professional and willing to go above and beyond to help you here at the Shreveport La location. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to start a career in the trucking industry to come here.

Very positive and respectful atmosphere. The instructors are very knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly. It feels great coming in everyday learning what they are able to teach me in a short period of time and leaving with confidence. I could keep going haha but really for anyone looking to obtain their cdl come here. You won't regret it I promise. Thanks DDA

Graduated from DDA Shreveport in 1987 and went straight to driving for CCC Express. Fast forward 34 years and still driving, I owe these people much respect for preparing me for the job. I was told they couldn't make a truck driver out of me but they would bring it out. Thanks! Read every sign and slow down on exits is still engraved in my head, along with pre-plan your trip will get you far.

These people think private property is a "school ground" for them to teach their students how to drive their big rigs. I have confronted and ask them to leave my property on 3 separate times and will be reporting them to the brpd next time they come on my property for illegally trespassing.

I really do hate giving this business only 2 stars being that I'm not aware of 100% how they operate. I contacted them a few times before they finally did respond back. I just asked a simple question which was would they work around my work schedule from off shore. The lady never told me no but asked if it was possible if I could take 30 days off from work.

It is absolutely impossible for me to take 30 days off from work unless I had proof of some near death medical excuse. I have been with the same company off shore for 20 and I'm now trying to focus on a new career path. I am very dedicated to work and have had a steady paycheck since I was 15 years old, so I don't know how to just ask for a month off.

I would take a chance of leaving this job if I was guaranteed a income within a reasonable time upon graduation. If I leave here then it would be no doubt I would complete this academy. I'm just sitting back still waiting on the answer if they are willing or able to work around an off shore schedule for me to attend this academy or if it's just impossible for off shore workers to pursue a trucking career, still no answer yet which has me questioning how grounded and competent this academy is if they cannot answer simple questions or respond to people in timely manners.

It's unfortunate that I've been trying to get into this school for a few years now but can't seem to get past the prehire situation. I got into some trouble as a late teen (I'm 40 now) and have never been in trouble since. It's truly disheartening that you have individuals such as myself constantly being subject to bias. In an industry running detrimentally short on drivers for various reasons, individuals like me who actually want to work and settle into a career of driving has to contend with road blocks. All I hear every 30 days by text is "yeah hi, FYI no prehire yet"! SMH The journey to being a road warrior pushes on.

The instructors really are the ones that need to be recognized. They truly do take the time to teach and answer your questions if you show them that you want to learn.

This is a great school I took the 4 week class and was so nervous and felt as if I couldn't process everything in that small amount of time but little did I know I was ready after my 1st week In class with Mr. Rogers then when we got out on the yard man the instructors was phenomenal and they are motivated to see you succeed overall it was a great experience not easy but very satisfying when you complete the course I highly recommend this place if you want great training in a awesome atmosphere

Bad experience came in with my cdl and I didn't not get to doing any maneuvers until my 3rd due to not having enough instructors then when we finally got to the pad to drive we had 9 students in our class we only got 2 turns a piece to drive even though I got my cdl and graduated this school is a waste of money

Stay away from this school especially if you are military. The see military personnel as free money. All they care about is first time passing rates and the testers are extremely picky. If you don't pass the first time they consider you a lost cause and then it will be hard to find an instructor to work with you. My advice is go to a Community College or a different school.

This company hires and fires instructors constantly so you are always getting new instructors telling you different things. Even the testers can't agree on what's right or wrong especially the pre-trip part of the test. Avoid this place at all cost.

I applied to start the class and was turned down for a grant.the staff were very friendly and respectful, the school is very clean and a comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately without the grant I cant take the class. I told my friends about what happened and they are going to apply at a different driving school. I had 17 close friends that would have applied here but they felt bad for me and decided to go elsewhere to learn.

This school is horrible. The instructors are not competent enough to be training and fail the students when they haven't taught them the information. To make it worse the administration does not care, all they want is the money. This school should closed and I wouldn't recommend anyone go here.

I'm in 20 week class. I was suppose to graduate on 9/20 but I failed my test. I haven't really had that much practice with backing like I did with my driving because all the rain and all of the students who had to test would jump in front of us. The instructors don't do anything about it and truly just don't care. Now it's my turn to test again and I just want to practice my backing and it's a problem, the instructors are only going to help their students basically and not anybody else. Baton Rouge campus is sooo shady and miserable as a school trying to help each and everybody no matter what it's just disgusting. It's always a problem. If you are thinking about DDA (especially) Baton Rouge. DO NOT DO IT, YOU WILL HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS. THE IS NO RESOLUTION FOR YOUR PROBLEMS. Smh
