We are a privately owned and operated truck driving school in Yankton, SD founded in November, 2011. The owner had previously taught in a vocational school in SD for 10 years and had classes in several other states. His wife who is an instructor has a Masters Degree in Guidance Counseling and Personnel Services and has previously taught at college level. Our goal is to produce professional truck drivers for our community!

The American Truck Driving Academy was a great place to start my truck driving career. I had dreamed of becoming a truck driver for many years and finally had the opportunity to do so. The instructors and staff there are friendly and patient. They gave me the knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve my goal of acquiring a CDL and becoming a professional truck driver. One of the best things too is that it's right here in Yankton SD. I highly recommend them.
