We know from experience that not all students learn the same way and since we are a small and unique school, we are able to tailor each lesson individually to the needs of each student. We take our role seriously and do not stop and take personal breaks, or talk on the cell phone, or pick up multiple students during lessons. You get full value and great training for your money.Having the training car equipped only with a brake, makes you only half as safe. We want our students to be completely safe in the car if something unusual should happen. Don't be fooled if other schools tell you otherwise. Common sense tells us it is indeed safer to have both a gas and brake pedal installed on the passenger side of the car for complete control of the vehicle during driving lessons. Second, our vehicles are equipped with four training mirrors and three student mirrors for complete circular vision.
To be completely safe, the instructor must be able to watch not only the road, but the student's movements as well. Having these mirrors ensures that the instructor is able to see all angles clearly for maximum safety. Our instructors have never been in an accident with a student, and to this date we are unaware of any student being involved in any injury accident.

If you are 18 years and older, you are required to take a written test at the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Gerald Cullison
Gerald was born and raised in Solana Beach, California . He grew up playing tennis in San Diego and most proud of his accomplishments of becoming an All American tennis player ranked in the top ten nationally in singles and doubles in 1984 and 1985 and earning the prestigious Ward-Ballinger Outstanding Player Award, signifying the National Associations Intercollegiate Athletics best all around tennis player, in 1985. U.S. Professional Tennis Player Association certified, he went on to play in Europe on the Adidas satellite tour. Some of the professional players he has played with include Jimmy Connors, Roscoe Tanner, and Sandy Mayer.
Elmer Fonseca
Born in Orange County and speaks fluent English and Spanish. Graduate of Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, California.In my spare time I enjoy playing indoor soccer, mountain biking, volleyball, tennis, baseball, and golf. I am also learning a new language, Japanese.I have the desire and passion to teach driving instruction along with the rules and laws of the road. I have the ability to analyze and problem solve to give my students the best chance for success. I am patient, understanding, and compassionate. I look forward to working with you in the car.
Christopher Yim

Born in Woodland, California, Christopher has spent his life traveling up and down the West Coast of America. He now lives in North County, attending a small charter school as a senior at Classical Academy High School. He plans on graduating this year and attending a University to major in math. He enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, hanging with friends, cooking food, and more so, eating food. His favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings series. He hopes to one day learn the saxophone.
Kayley Sirrine

Born and raised in Escondido, California, Kayley is an avid writer and artist who one day aspires to compose and illustrate a children's book. She is very interested in various cultures and loves to learn about them as well as their languages, especially loving Japanese cartoons. Her hobbies include (and of course are not limited to) video games, hanging out with friends, browsing the internet, singing, reading, writing, drawing, and then more video games. She also wishes to eventually learn how to program and animate said video games.
Michael Caffin
Michael has over 20 years of experience in driver education, training, and the development of such. He operated his own driving school for 5 years and has recently joined forces with Alliance Defensive Driving School. His primary experience, however, comes from work in the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces, where he served as a Staff Sergeant Driving Instructor on a number of different types of motor vehicles. He served in this role for more than 12 years, including 4 years of work with a local driving school during weekends and after hours. Alliance Defensive Driving School welcomes Michael to "Team Alliance".

I started my driving journey last year with Alliance. I am an immigrant and it has been very challenging for me but they made it so comfortable for me. They helped me schedule my tests and lessons. I failed my first test and I was loosing my confidence but they did not give up on me. Today, I had my test and I passed. Thanks to the team and Dianne for supporting me and helping me get my driver's license.

My teen son took five lessons with Alliance and just passed his drivers license test with no problems. I will have my other two children take their lessons with Alliance when they are old enough. I came to Alliance because they had an open appointment due to a cancellation. I had my lesson with Maria, and as it was my first time driving on the roads my skills needed a lot of work. Though Maria taught me some basic skills which allowed me to continue practicing on my own, she seemed more anxious than me during the drive which made it a less than pleasant experience. I tried booking another appointment with Alliance but they were booked out for a month.

I highly recommend this driving school and the 20 hours of instruction to help your child build confidence and good driving skills to take them through life. Bill is an amazing instructor and such a calming presence for new drivers. Jason is great too! Great customer service, many time slots for diving instruction, worth every penny! My son just passed his behind the wheel the first time and only missed 2 points.
