Over 90% of Allstate students learn to drive on the freeway during their first lesson. We provide a variety of driver training courses ranging from how to take the DMV Driving Test, to quickly developing your driving skills on the road. Our instructors have very flexible schedules and are available throughout the day and evening, 7 days a week in the San Diego area.

As the Founder and owner of Allstate Driving School, Dee Amanda Wu, has over 15 years of experience in teaching driver education and defensive driver training. Ms. Wu graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on Computer Science. In 1991, Dee landed a job with the Department of Motor Vehicles as a licensing Registration Examiner. She worked for 5 years as an Examiner at the San Diego Clairemont DMV where she issued over 10,000 driver's licenses for California residents.Throughout her career, she has trained thousands of teenagers, adults and seniors citizens pass the DMV driving exam to obtain their California driver's license. Ms. Wu also possesses the special skills to train senior citizens with special needs to pass the California special driving exam with the DMV Driver Safety Unit.

I have been teaching with Allstate Driving School since the school was established in 1998. I have a kind heart, patience, speak very softly, friendly, and have an easy going personality. My specialty is preparing students to pass the DMV drive test. When my students step out of my car, they always turn back and said [Thank you]. I am very dedicated to my job, my philosophy is not only to teach students to control their car, but also to learn the practical knowledge and keep their attention on driving safely and defensively on today busy roadways. It is a great reward for me to see my students learn to drive, and enjoy our driving lessons.

I have been a part time instructor with Allstate Driving School over the past 3 years. I have worked in the education field for over 18 years teaching Special Ed students. Over that time I have worked with students individually or in group settings alongside parents and other educators. I have been a California licensed driver in good standings for over twenty years. I have the patience to work with any teenager driver new or experienced. I enjoy listening to all types of music, and I also play the drums in my spare time.

I speak both English and Spanish, I am a physical education teacher and I have worked with all age groups, I have a fun and loving personality, I enjoy instructing and I have at least twenty years experience teaching different subjects, I previously taught driver training in my native country for seven years. I have a teenager, so safety and knowledge of the rules comes first with me. My style of teaching is relaxed and calm and that seems to be ideal for teenagers and adults to learn driving with me.

I am from London, England I have a nice and funny accent but most people say I have a fantastic personality well suited for this job, my students enjoyed learning from me,I am very patient and I help my student feel at ease and built there confidence along the way. I have been teaching people of all ages how to drive many types of vehicles. Fleet training, Defensive Driving Skills, trailer training.In my spare time I like to go to our lovely beaches in San Diego. I am a Skydiver, scuba driver, I love to live life to the fullest with my friends.
