Our structured and comprehensive programs will provide new drivers with skills and road knowledge that will allow them to take the next steps to acquire a Michigan State License. Our road test examiners will conduct road tests in accordance with the State of Michigan regulations. A teen or an adult who has met all requirements and demonstrates basic skill performance mandated by the Michigan Secretary of State will be eligible for a certificate.Instructors, both male and female, at Academy Driving School of Troy are licensed and certified. Each instructor has successfully completed 12 college credit hours of driver education classes required by the State of Michigan. Criminal history checks, medical examinations, and driving records are on file for all of our instructors.

Adult lessons are scheduled by appointment only. During the first lesson, which is one hour, the educator will evaluate your driving skills to see if you are ready to take a state test. If you and your instructor feel you need to schedule additional lessons, you may do so at that time. "Package Rates" are available after the first lesson.

My son was signed that up for first segment Manager called us the night before and canceled. Said the trainer had gone down to Florida and was not coming back,never got a call back to reschedule. Tried rescheduling nobody ever answers the phone tried going to the office and no one is ever in the office

I had a really great experience taking my road test here. I was a little bit worried about the bad reviews, but I didn't experience anything like what people are saying. Instructor Pat is extremely kind, and he wants to not only help you as much as possible to pass but also to learn and become a great driver. He gave very constructive feedback which I will make sure to remember.
