We are based on a firm foundation of educational experience. The owner and founder of Excel in Driving has 33 years of teaching experience in the Denver Public Schools. In addition to classroom instruction, he also has 35 years of coaching various sports and age groups between 6 and 18 years old. Throughout his adult life, he has instructed many drivers and, in 2005, he started driving professionally as a Colorado certified instructor and tester. He believes a driving school should be safe for the students. The instructor should be patient and be able to break down the skills necessary for the student to learn. A modern and sensible approach to teaching Drivers Education should be an important part of the school philosophy.

With us learning has never been easier or more flexible. These 32 hours of online virtual classroom instruction allows the student to learn in the comfort of their own home, at their own pace, and their own schedule. Retention is so important when it comes to learning how to drive. We can't afford to let our children memorize this information just to pass a test and than forget it. This driver education material has been designed and developed to teach your child in the most proven and effective method for retention.

Behind-the-Wheel Practice

This includes three, two-hour drives with one-on-one instruction. The first drive is a city drive stressing the skills needed for driving in an urban setting from residential to major thoroughfares. It provides driving basics and evaluates the student's current proficiently. The second drive is a mountain drive where steering, braking and highway skills are learned and mastered.

The third drive includes a practice driving test, overcoming any deficiencies that may have occurred and also provides practice on various types of paved roads and intersections. This program provides the student with the necessary skills to a safe and responsible driver.
