To drive legally in Illinois, you must have a valid drivers license, instruction permit, Restricted Driving Permit or Judicial Driving Permit. The first step of getting you behind the wheel in a state of Illinois is to obtain an instruction permit. To receive an Illinois instruction permit, individuals must appear in person at a driver services facility and provide acceptable form of identification to prove name, date of birth, Illinois residency, Social Security number and signature for comparison.

One of the best driving instructors I've had. Prepares you really well for your drivers test and is very calm. He explains everything you need to know and you feel comfortable when driving with him. The price was extremely good for what I was getting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who still needs their license.

Go check out this place! Even if you have no road experience (as I did), instructor Andy has so many valuable experience and patience in teaching for beginners. I went around to couple driving schools before settling on this one, because Andy was so responsive to emails and texts on scheduling and has great advice on ways to fix your driving mistakes. This is someone will root for your success, and that's more than money can buy.

Andy was a great instructor! He was professional and very chill. He made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel and made sure that i was not only prepared for the test, but that i had everything that i needed beforehand. One thing i had trouble with was parallel parking, however andy showed great techniques on how to pull it off and i was able to get it done on the first try on my own. Would definitely recommend to others!

Amazing driving instructor! I'm really happy I signed up for driving classes here! I was really nervous, but they have really good driving instructors that are patient and make you feel comfortable enough to drive and learn the safety tips. They have one of the highest numbers in students passing their driving tests. I passed mine and got my license and I'm really grateful! You will be in good hands!

As a new driver, I was nervous to get behind the wheel. However, Andy made me feel super comfortable right off the bat on the first day as he is patient, considerate, and extremely good at instructional teaching. I totally recommend coming here if you want an instructor who will make you feel safe and ready to drive on your own in no time!

Andy was an amazing instructor with the most affordable prices in the city. He made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He made sure the I was not only prepared for the test but that I knew all that I would need beyond the test. Andy was honest and clear in his instruction and critic on my progression throughout the classes. I was able to earn my drivers license this past Wednesday and I know it was because of the classes with Andy.

I found Galaxy driving school after getting frustrated from trying to learn how to drive with another school. My instructor was Andy. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with me through the process. I had been scared of driving for so long and he helped me build my confidence behind the wheel. I passed my driving test after 10hrs behind the wheel lessons and couldn't be happier to have chosen this school. I definitely recommend Galaxy driving school and Instructor Andy to anyone looking to learn how to drive or to build confidence behind the wheel.

Im so glad I have found the perfect school for a novice and nervous driver like me. Having an instructor like ANDY made me felt comfortable and confident in driving. On the day of the driving test, you will never feel alone because Andy's presence at the back of your mind and it made may test date a lot at ease and confident. This guy deserves more.

I started learning driving here thru a friend reference and the instructor is Heleena and she is very impatient and yells at people and I am not happy with this school.. First thing is the instructor should always have patience and should teach everything... The instructor is saying talk 2 -3 sessions (each session is 6 hrs) and making me to without taking those you are not comfortable which is very very bad. Insisting people to take more sessions to get the business. I personally don't refer this school anyone.

I've been wanting to write this review for a long time but I've been too busy driving. I learned driving at age 38. I've always been a city girl but I have two kids and you can guess the rest. A driving school is not something you do over and over ( hopefully, if you picked the right school) so do your research. I did and I end up picking this school and it was one of the best decisions I made in life.
After six lessons, i received my drivers license. My instructors name was Damien. He takes his job seriously. He really teaches you how to drive. he's patient, kind and at times funny. I had fun learning how to drive. I highly recommend this school.
