Don't go. The driving teacher disappears after several classes. Very irresponsible. And there's no refund/apology from the school.

I highly recommend Northwestern! The staff was helpful, punctual and flexible. My son said the instructors were very good.

This is the "Best" driving school the practice test helped us pass the written test it was really helpful we got our permits and did our driving sessions as refreshers and we were able to pass our road test easily. our instructor Ramone was excellent. he was very helpful. thanks so much!

I took about five adult driving classes here. The instructor I had for the first 3 classes was a bit took jumpy for my liking so when I inquired about taking additional classes I expressed this to the guy on the phone and he suggested I work with John who is more seasoned with driving lessons. I'm so happy that I was paired with him because he allowed me to drive without panicking and gave me feedback along the way so that I could self correct if needed.

I still remember the tips he gave me to parallel park and do 3 point turns, he teaches you in a way that's practical so you don't overthink. I was so happy with the customer service of the gentleman who took my call and referred me to John and of course John's help with passing the drivers test and I'll be getting a car this weekend! This place is affordable and the staff is very nice and patient, I was very happy with my experience and would highly recommend :

The drivers classes were just fine. The scheduling driving lessons has been extremely difficult. I submitted my son's permit 2.5 weeks ago and they are supposed to reach out upon receipt of this. I emailed a few days ago and have not received a response. I called this am and the voicemail is full. A full voicemail is a bad sign-and so unprofessional.

They clearly have a lot of people trying to reach them and they are not responding. I feel my only course of action to take now is to visit the office during business hours and hope someone is there. When I stopped there to pick up the permit packet, the very small office was a mess and wreaked of cigarettes. I am not impressed thus far. Hopefully once lessons get scheduled things will be better.

Our son took driving behind the wheel classes with John, who was fabulous and also was my husband's driving instructor years ago! He's a legend! Matthew was great chatting with on the phone and via email, the communication was great! Thank you Northwestern Driving School for accommodating our schedule and fitting us in! Absolutely best option in chicago! We def will be back with our next two kids to learn to drive!

My instructor, Rimon, was punctual, competent, and patient. I passed the driving test the first time after learning from him. Have nothing bad to say about his instruction or the school.

My son enjoyed his classes here - Both his classroom and driving instructors were great and helped my son become the excellent driver he is today! I recommend this school to anyone looking for a highly reputable institution that provides results.

We had a very good experience with Northwestern! Very professional and on top of things, knowledgeable and helpful. My son passed his permit exam with flying colors. Highly recommend!

Driving Instructers are ignoring rules of the road and not teaching the students well. watched a session break 3 rules and almost cause an accident in front of me.

My teenage son was enrolled in this school last summer. He completed his driving a few days ago. With my son's busy schedule, we were never able to complete the driving until now. I was pleased with the way this school conducts business. The school had a professional company to take care of the cars during (COVID). I saw the cars being sanitized, and instructors were remarkably professional in wearing PPE.

I have to say, I've been to IL state buildings, and they were not even as serious as Northwestern was. This alone was the reason I created a review. At the end of the lesson, the instructor commented that my son is an excellent driver and provided us with an option for the road test at their facility! He passed with flying colors. Northwestern Driving School - particularly John and the rest of the staff. You did a great job!

Three words for this school "Patient" "Friendly" "Knowledgeable" I had a phenomenal experience at this driver school. My instructor taught me all the basics to help me pass the road test. I'm the ripe age of 34 and never had a driver's license before. They made me very comfortable in learning to drive. Not only was my instructor patient, he went above and beyond in helping me obtain my license.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable - They also helped me obtain my instruction permit which was huge as it was a big push for me to obtain my license. I just bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Camry! The same car i learned to drive in! Thanks again Guys!

This review is well deserved. I sent my daughter here who is attending school at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I searched far and wide for a driving school for my daughter as she needed to find somewhere local to learn to drive. We're not from around the area. I found Northwestern Driving School - The instructor was definitely a pleasure to work with.

She took the time to speak with me after each and every appointment for my daughter about her progress. She even aided her in obtaining her license! This school will be recommended to all my Chicago friends - They even helped her find a new car (Not even part of the service!) This is what customer service is all about! SERIOUSLY!

I sent all my kids to this driving school and I'm always satisfied with the way they conduct business. The teachers are always accommodating and provided my teens pickup from Niles West HS all the way to home. All my teenagers got their permit on the 1st try and got their license! I was an ultimate beginner with no driving experience plus zero confidence on road. One fine day, i registered myself with northwestern chicago and take up the 6hr BTW class for $300. My instructor was Ivanka (Iva) who is the perfect one for this job. She is calm, patient and encouraging. After only 3hrs of driving with her, i tried my hand on my husband's car and tadaaaaaaa i drove good! So far i took 4hrs of class with her and my husband feels i m more confident on road now! Thank u so much Iva!

I received a few traffic tickets in Illinois. I was told to take a court ordered Remedial / Suspension class. I decided to take this course at this location and was blown away on how fantastic the program was. I came to the program thinking it will be another boring class, but instead it really opened my mind on the way I perceive driving safely. Honestly when I see other drivers 'Text and Drive' it really infuriates me now! Thanks again for the fantastic class, I met a lot of cool fellow classmates and hope to stay in touch.

This school exceeded all my expectations in learning how to drive and being confident on the road. I'm 38 years old and always feared driving on the road. I've driven a few times over the past few years with different schools and never felt the urge or passion to continue doing lessons as I had a lot of anxiety. I decided to try Northwestern Driving School.

After the first few lessons with the instructor John, I was able to gain confidence and learn how to be a good driver. My main goal was to be confident on the road. The instructor was very patient and gave clear and concise driving instruction. Scheduling lessons was really easy. I do suggest choosing this school! Especially if you're a person who is scared to be on the road with no real experience. They made me feel comfortable from the beginning to the end! I'm happy to say that I'm officially a licensed driver! Sam

Had a good experience here. My adult son learned how to drive here after a few lessons. He went on to pass the test at the DMV. According to him the instructors were patient and very knowledgeable

I was pleased to sign my daughter up quickly and easily for driving class. We had choices on class times and dates. Both staff and instructors are great! I have already recommended this school to fellow moms @ Northside Prep High school!

I'm proud to say that this driving school really amazes me. All my children attended this school. The instructor is very courteous and helpful with any questions I have with my teenagers appointments/driving. They're very direct and professional. This review is long overdue. I signed up for driving lessons back in November 2013. I am not an avid driver on the highway, and really needed to get confident and comfortable on the highway, which is why I decided to take lessons with Northwestern Driving School. I was assigned to learn from Theresa and she was the best! I told her about my fears of driving on the highway and she made me feel comfortable right away.

She was very patient with me and was able to boost my confidence after a couple of lessons. Theresa had me drive at night, in the snow and rain, and by the end of the lessons, I was able to drive from Chicago to Appleton, Wisconsin for a work meeting. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is afraid to drive. Theresa will help you!

High standard is placed on driving fundamentals & safety - instructors are very professional, nice & very patient. First time drivers: Theresa is so low keyed you aren't even aware she is in the car until she gives directions, which are clear and simple to follow, easy to understand. Extremely patient. John, (the owner of the company) has over 20 years of experience and will fine tune your driving.

It is also a Master Class in driving. Thoughtful about the dangers in driving, he will make you aware of the road & other cars. He is also good with teenagers. Very funny! Thorough DMV license test prep: They will take you through the details of the DMV road test & then later ask you to go the day of the test, (an hour earlier before it opens) for more practice. As a first time driver, I was able to pass the DMV test on my first try. And I owe it all to having such great teachers. These guys are the best!

I've had several people try to teach me how to drive--friends and family--but Northwestern Driving school was where I learned confidence and how to be comfortable when I drive. And now I've just gotten my driver's license thanks to them! Woohoo! The instructor, Julio Naveda, was excellent. He broke down the methodology of everything I needed to know and explained it in a way that was easy to understand. Best driving instructor I've ever had! If you are taking lessons from here, definitely request him!

They really take care of everything for you here. John and Julio are both excellent teachers, who, as Karen rightly says, are patient , courteous and professional. I had a great experience with Northwestern Driving School and would strongly recommend anyone learning to drive to check them out.

Very efficient service and will cater to your every needs and requirements! The Instructor is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. They taught me all the tricks to get me started which made learning so much easier and fun. I recommend you join them! They will certainly make you a great driver! The Instructor made me practice all the stuff needed to ace the driving test until i got perfect at them. I liked this. They arranged for a very convenient timing and taught me to drive in nearly all conditions. Amazing Driving School!

I'm so glad I enrolled my kids in this driving school. The instructor is absolutely amazing. I felt confident that my kids would learn to drive very well with this school. The classroom timings are perfect and it's very convenient. John (the instructor) picks my son up from school and teaches him how to drive for an hour before dropping him off at home.

The prices are great for such exceptional service. I don't have anything bad to say about this school. I was a little hesitant to enroll my kids in a driving program outside of their own school, but after talking to the other parents I know, I felt confident that this was a great choice.
