I highly recommend these guys if you want to get your CDL. I passed the State test in one try. They are very knowledgeable about using GI Bill benefits to pay for the training. They have several training locations available plus day and night classes to choose from. There is a decent amount of material to study for the tests. But if you put in the time, these guys will help get you there.

This is a great school to attend if you are seeking to get your CDL A or any CDL. Great instructors who help you get ready for the actual test. They teach you everything you need to know on how to operate the vehicles to hooking up the trailers and everything in between. They are kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The office personnel is very professional and willing to help with any questions you have. If you are seeking to get you CDL of any kind this is the place to go.

I'm so glad I chose to get my training through CDS! There isn't enough words to describe my experience with them. They give 110% of the tools for you to succeed it's all up to you to put in the effort and get your CDL. I went to the Lakewood campus and every single instructor to include Andrew, Curtis, Darrell, Ryan and Phil just to name a few go above and beyond to help you with absolutely anything you need!
If you're thinking about getting your CDL to start your career or change career's this is the school to go through! I had an interview with a company the 2nd week I was in class and told them where I was going and they offered to pay for my hazmat class and a position just because I was going to CDS! Im just really grateful for everyone there and my experience. I made a couple really good friends while in class and they'll say the same thing.

Top notch experience from beginning to end. I have my CDL-A, and I am working on getting my endorsements now. The instructors there are knowledgeable, personally vested in ensuring that you will not fail, and they genuinely care about the success of their students. If you are looking to get your CDL, I highly recommend CDS. Their Lakewood Campus gets the job done. (Not taking anything away from their other campuses as I'm sure they're just as good) Just to give you an idea of how prepared CDS gets their students.
On our test day there were multiple Trucking Schools present along with us at the test site. (I will not mention the other schools names but they were all there). While we (CDS students) were all High 5'ing each other and congratulating each other after one successful test after the other. Majority of the students from the other schools present were being given slips telling them to come back for a retest due to failure. IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE, CDS WILL GET YOU THERE!

I just finished my training and hours, and I feel very prepared for the test. The staff took care to make sure I understood the training process as well as required tests and paperwork needed, to acquire the instructional permit. They even scheduled my test dates for me. The instructors are all current Truck/Bus drivers, or have previously worked in the field.
The patience and experience they bring to the table is a huge benefit. Shout out to Al, Adam, Andrew, and Darrell. The staff, and instructors were always available for the extra questions I had. I have been invited to come in for extra training, at no extra cost, while I await my test date. Student are encouraged to help each other with the studying.
The impressive thing is that, while we were in training, at least 5 employers came and spoke to us about the need for drivers, and offering us employment, because, and I quote "we hire graduates from this school, because we know they are properly trained" I will recommend this school to anyone who asks me about my experience.

Best CDL school ever! So good in fact that I was offered a job before I completed my test because the employer knew how great the training here is. Their attention to detail and instruction is top notch. The instructors really take the time to make sure you know what you are doing and are confident in your ability before you test. They really care if you pass the test and see you graduate and get a good paying job. The office staff are very helpful and make sure you have what you need to succeed.

The instructors very knowledgeable and great hands on. Show the class how to work smart and time saving. They were patient with the new people that never operated a forklift. Recommend the hands on course to those who needs a refresher class and to those that never operated a forklift. They even gave me a referral for a job. THANKS GUYS YOU ARE THE BEST.

Really well structured school, instructors are chilled but also full of knowledge and patient, they help you get a job once you get out, they have free Saturdays for students, The equipment is in good condition and newer, 4 week course, lots to learn but also lots of opportunities if you do your homework, never knew truckers could make serious money. I will highly reccomend.

I am a recent graduate of this school. I paid for the school out of my own savings. I did get my CDL at the end of the 4 weeks of training. However, the experience was horrific. You are treated like an inconvenience once you have paid your money. They will tell you how much they will help you in any area that your weak in but when you go to get that help or ask a question your treated like an imbecile.
I would like to use names but I don't want to make this personal. Although it is, since it was my experience. I am still unemployed and I am 4700 dollars in debt. Their 98% success rate is a lie, please do not buy into that. I was able to depend on my classmates to help me pass all 7 tests. There is one driver that did make a difference and his name is AL.
Big shout out to AL for being patient and willing to help when your boss only wanted to sit behind her desk and push numbers and tell lies. Also you do not get a new instructor each week. Your supposed to, but that is ultimately up to how many people they cram into your class and what quota they are trying to meet. There is one arrogant instructor, he is very rude and condescending and he works at the Auburn location. He yells at you when your making a mistake. Who wants to pay 4700 dollars to be yelled at. Seriously, I would have preferred to save my money and go somewhere else.

Some people will rate a school negatively based on one bad experience. I've noticed negative reviews for this school, but I took my chances and went here anyways. What an experience! Commercial Driver School, the Auburn location, exceeded all expectations. The instructors were knowledgable, the office staff accommodating, and my fellow students were all within 15 years one direction or another of my age (28). I've actually made at least two long term friends in my short four weeks attending here. So!
How does the program work? Your first week is book learning. In this time you learn the rules of the profession as well as all the legal responsibilities we have to follow. I'll be honest, so long as you use the learning resources available online on top of what you receive in class.this part is pretty much a no-brainer. After this first week, you test for your permit (written tests) and the following week you start your driving!
After three weeks of driving and studying your pre-trip, and I mean STUDY that pre-trip, you're ready to test for your actual license! Yup, that easy and that fast. I came in not having ever driven a manual shift transmission before, and after four weeks I passed my DOL test in a ten-speed 18 wheeler and trailer first time. You can too! Each week you get a new instructor, and each instructor has a different teaching method. You can't lose here. Give them a go. I'm now a licensed CDL driver and am on the job-hunt. -Ben 09-17-2015
